Walk into Ceramica Senio in Noosaville, and it’s immediately clear this isn’t a typical tile and stone showroom. There are no towering aisles of stacked samples, no overwhelming walls of product. Instead, materials are grouped the way a stylist might arrange a room: by feeling, by tone, by the story they tell together.
That’s precisely the point, according to Ceramica Senio owner Luci Lau, whose background in interior design and styling shapes how the Sunshine Coast showroom operates and how she sources natural stone, porcelain and handmade tile for homes across Queensland.
“I don’t see tiles and stone as simply products on a shelf; I see them as part of a whole space,” Luci says. “I’m always thinking about how a material will feel in a home, how it will work with natural light, cabinetry, paint colours, tapware and the lifestyle of the people living there.”

Where a typical supplier might assess a new material selection on its own merits, Luci reads it for how it behaves once it multiplies across a room. Texture, tone, movement, finish, scale: all of it is weighed before a sample ever reaches a client’s hands. “I’m imagining it across a whole floor, up a wall, around a pool, or paired with other finishes,” she explains. “A small sample can be beautiful, but you have to picture what it does when it’s repeated across an entire room.” That instinct extends to whether a material will still feel right years down the track. “My design background taught me to look beyond trends and focus on feeling, proportion and longevity.”
CERAMICA SENIO’S NEW CHAPTER IN NOOSAVILLE
While Ceramica Senio has been part of the Sunshine Coast design scene for more than twenty years, it has been Luci’s own for the past five and a half. Working alongside many of the region’s leading architects, designers and luxury builders, she felt the moment had arrived to reimagine what Ceramica Senio could be. The result is a showroom conceived less like a shop and more like a gallery, anchored by a thirty-year-old olive tree at its heart. “I’ve always believed choosing tiles and stone should feel inspiring, not overwhelming,” Luci says. “We want people to slow down, take their time and really experience the beauty of these materials.”

The layout of the Ceramica Senio showroom tells its own story, with collections grouped like a three-dimensional moodboard so that stones, tiles and mosaics can be seen working together rather than in isolation. Some corners lean coastal, others contemporary, some warmer, some cooler, each arranged to help visitors picture an entire home rather than choosing piece by piece.
TILE & STONE SOURCED WITH INTENTION
Ceramica Senio‘s Noosaville showroom’s collections span Italy, Spain, Turkey, Japan, China and Morocco, sourced through a small number of trusted wholesalers and artisans. “We’re looking past how something photographs and instead for craftsmanship, consistency and a material with enough character to age well,” Luci says. Among her current favourites are Japanese porcelain, natural stone, and Zellige from Morocco.
