An unexpected colour palette and classic style combine in this interior design

Who says blue and green shouldn’t be seen? Inspired by the outdoors, Interior Designer Leigh Boswell and her team at Highgate House brought this colour pairing to life in this beautiful home.

Highgate House had already designed two homes for their client – a rural property in New South Wales and a holiday home in Montville on the Sunshine Coast.

“We take pride in building lasting relationships with our clients and consider it an honour when they return to us to decorate their new home,” says Leigh. “With their Brisbane residence, our clients asked for an elegant home with an emphasis on relaxed, comfortable family living.”

Taking cues from the home’s expansive views of the adjoining nature reserve and a beautiful green feature fabric from Oscar de la Renta, the Highgate House team masterfully brought the outside in with a palette of vibrant greens paired with classic blue hues.

“Many furniture pieces throughout the home were custom made locally to our specifications using quality designer fabrics,” Leigh says. “Our client had fallen in love with our new range of imported furniture pieces she saw on display in our showroom, allowing us to bring together a cohesive scheme she could love for years to come.”

The finishing touches were selected from the studio’s extensive range of unique art and accessories, many of which can be viewed at the Highgate House showroom in Hendra and purchased through their Online Store.

“After working on this project for over a year, this final stage truly adds personality and character and brings the home to life,” says Leigh.
