Good design should do more than look beautiful. For Designtank, it should make life feel better every single day. Founded in 2012 by Creative Director Estelle Cameron, this boutique Brisbane studio has spent over a decade rethinking the way people inhabit their homes, balancing timeless design sensibility with a deeply personal approach that begins fresh with every client.

At the helm of Designtank is Creative Director Estelle Cameron, whose path to design is anything but conventional. A corporate background in IT project management gave her precision and structure that most creatives simply don’t have, and when combined with her Diploma of Interior Technology and a natural eye for beauty, the result is a designer who is just as comfortable solving a spatial puzzle as she is selecting the perfect finish. Alongside her, Julia Glushchenko brings a European sensibility and a background in procurement, ensuring every material choice is as considered as it is beautiful. Graduate designer Olivia Mitchell, a QUT Bachelor of Design graduate, rounds out the team with a love of 3D visualisation that helps clients truly see and feel their future spaces before a single tile is laid.

Designtank works across the full scope of residential design, from single-room consultations and bathroom and kitchen renovations through to new builds and whole-home transformations. Traditional Queenslanders, contemporary apartments, family homes in transition, the studio brings the same collaborative care to every project, working to understand exactly how clients want to live before a single decision is made. The result is interiors that feel effortless and intentional in equal measure.
