“We had undertaken work for relatives of these clients previously and had come highly recommended by them,” explains principal interior designer, Leigh Boswell of Highgate House. “The main inspiration for the interior design came from the home’s glorious beach setting and the incredible 180-degree views. We design spaces that are sophisticated while being relaxed and inviting. This is a style that’s perfect for these homeowners, who entertain family and friends often.”
All of the interior products sourced by the designers, Leigh and Briana, have been chosen specifically for this project – Highgate House specialises in tailored interiors unique to each home and client’s lifestyle. “When selecting products that will stand the test of time in a beachfront location such as this, consideration of the surroundings is paramount,” says Leigh. “The project was a pleasure to work on as our clients trusted our vision, design direction and attention to detail.”

There are touches of navy throughout the home, complemented by masculine tones and natural textures. The lounge room features a rug from Dash & Albert and custom artwork by Chloe Planinsek while fabulous black and white photographic prints of African animals from Designer Boys create a statement in the dining room. Highgate House chose dark timber accents, striped upholstery on the dining chairs and the subtle geometric weave of the feature rug to further anchor the space.
