As the focal point to a luxurious Fig Tree Pocket home, this kitchen is a showcase of how to use natural and engineered stone in a thoroughly modern way.

Luxury homes construction specialists, Tabrizi Home Builders, are a long term client of ours, says Shakira from Project Stone Australia. Bringing Project Stone Australia’s wealth of knowledge and experience in the supply of both natural stone and engineered stone to this project has enabled us to meet their clients’ brief for a superb kitchen design.

Project Stone highlights the beauty of natural stone in the Opus White Quartzite, the material of choice for the kitchen island bench.

Opus White Quartzite is an amazing natural stone quarried in Brazil. It has a light Ivory background and defined veins of greenish-grey and charcoal that elegantly flow across the surface, says Shakira. This stone has the classic charm of natural marble but also the bonus of being a natural Quartzite, making it durable and low maintenance. Its high-range hardness means that we can achieve a very high polish, which results in a sleek and luxurious appearance.

Thanks to the skilled craftsmanship and care by stone fabricators, Medusa Stone, nearly the full size of the original slab of the Opus White Quartzite has been used for the island bench, completed with a 50mm mitred edge to accentuate the beauty of the natural stone.

In subtle contrast to the polished island surfaces, the kitchen\’s back benches and butler’s pantry feature TrendStone Quartz Concreto Cru in a matte finish – a light warm grey colour with delicate white feathering scattered randomly throughout. Finished with contemporary 20mm Arris edges, the Concreto Cru offers a smooth, low sheen finish and silky feel to the surface, with a raw industrial look.

TrendStone Quartz Concreto Cru has been carried through to other areas in the home, including the bathroom vanity tops and outdoor kitchen.

Combined with the home’s timber floors and natural material selections, the beauty of Project Stone Australia’s range fits perfectly with the contemporary, modern feel Tabrizi Home Builders were looking to achieve.
