The creators of airgarden are Prue and Tom, a local couple who like many people, experienced varying levels of success when it came to growing fruit and vegetables at home. Setting out to find an easy, simple and sustainable way to grow their own food at home, they\’ve drawn upon aeroponics technology (originally developed by NASA in the 90s as a means of providing nutrient-dense food for astronauts in space, to come up with this savvy homegrown system.
Now designed and made in the Gold Coast hinterland in South East Queensland, airgarden is a vertical, aeroponic garden that allows you to grow up to 30 plants in less than one square metre, inside or outdoors.
Growing two times faster than regular garden plots, airgarden has a super simple, automated, and efficient system that requires no soil – which means no digging and no weeding (bonus!). It\’s fuss-free and low maintenance, needing no constant watering – that\’s all built-in! – and no need to use harmful pesticides which means you can grow organic, clean, and nutrient-dense produce (and all without having a green thumb!). Brilliant!
