“This couple were previous clients of Enigma Interiors and came to us with a brief to create a new kitchen zone in their home that would boast classic styling (nothing too ornate),” says head designer at Enigma Interiors, Lee Hardcastle, of the project. “Also, being for a large family home, it had to incorporate lots of storage.”
Enigma Interiors\’ expert team handled all of the design, manufacture and installation for the new kitchen, which spanned a renovation and extension as the kitchen was moved to an entirely new area of the home.
High on the wish list was a walk-in-style pantry, and the design had to be practical for a large family with a busy lifestyle, with easy access, a good flow throughout and avoiding encroaching on the surrounding living spaces.
Enigma Interiors have used 20mm \’Blue Santorini\’ Quartzite with 40mm profiled edges for the kitchen surfaces, giving that nod to the homeowners\’ classic style. The unique natural colours and patterns in the Quartzite are one of Lee\’s favourite design features of the finished project, along with the fluted glass overhead cupboards.
Plenty of bench space makes meal prep a breeze, while the additional seating area for children and visiting friends lends the kitchen to a relaxed cooking and entertaining space.
The result is a functional and fresh new heart to this family home, with a kitchen that showcases the Enigma Interiors\’ design team\’s eye for detail and superior craftsmanship.
